How to read 100% pass rates
A row that says 100% passed in 2025 means every reported candidate in that source year passed the NBCOT exam. The percentage refers to passing rather than a score on the test. A 100.0% average across 2021-2025 means the reported pass rates averaged 100% over those five years. Because the public comparison does not show candidate counts, small cohorts still need a careful read.

Use it this way
- Compare OTA programs only against other assistant pathways, not OT master's or doctoral programs.
- Read each percentage as a pass rate: 100% means the reported candidates passed that year, not that anyone earned a 100% test score.
- Use the latest pass-rate year with the 2021-2025 average and low point.
- Pair outcomes with cost, location, fieldwork, and the local OTA job market.
Decision factors
- Does the program have consistent outcomes or just one strong year?
- Are there enough OTA jobs in the state and settings I want?
- Does the program explain fieldwork placement, board prep, and remediation clearly?
